It's interesting to note how frequently words are the primary topic of news stories these days. Or maybe it isn't that frequent. Hmmm. This section of the archive was born in a moment of inspiration, and wasn't really accompanied with an abundance of supporting research. So it may be that after the first hundred days or six months or two years I'll make an assessment of the value added by News Of The Word (as it will never be called) and decide that there's not enough news about words to make this section of the site even remotely viable. But let's not mire ourselves in the muck of viability or worthiness or added value or levels of interest or what have you. Let's just be quiet for a moment and read the news and let Richie rest for a moment.
